Engineer PositionThe Strategic Defense Solution engineering organization in Binghamton, NY is looking for an exceptionally motivated engineer to design and develop electrical systems for the integration of electronic equipment on military/commercial aircraft and ground stations. The design includes creating system wiring diagrams, circuit breaker panels, control panels and other items using Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools. Engineering duties will span the entire product lifecycle, from requirements capture and analysis, through design, testing, and production to ensure that designs meet requirements at minimum cost.

Designs can include development of power distribution, electrical loads analysis, and load shedding scheme along with the opportunity to support testing and integration of systems on a trainer.Sign-on Bonus EligibleWhat You Will Do:Responsible for providing guidance, coaching, and training to other employees.Integrate electrical components and wiring into design while meeting vendor and OEM requirements.Verify system configuration and block diagram.Operate in a team environment with other functional areas providing input to design solutions and participate in design reviews.Oversee Electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, Harness assembly drawing, Circuit Breakers, and Electrical Loads Analysis. Coordinate Aircraft electrical mission equipment installations.Identify, document, and communicate significant design and integration risks for timely review and resolution.Monitoring and reporting of aircraft installation design milestones and reporting status to project/program management.Be self-directed, able to meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives with minimal oversight.Qualifications You Must Have:The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.Experience in electrical design tools i.e.
