They will have experience and in-depth knowledge of Electrical Power Systems / Power Distribution System design and installation. Previous experience with electrical equipment design to include Generators, UPS systems and electrical switchgear is a must. They will be proficient using / reviewing AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP to develop electrical construction models and documents.
You will help lead the design and effectively work with / communicate with all the trades and stakeholders involved in the project.Responsibilities:Create designs and plans, provided and gather specifications, and execute assignments in a multidisciplinary electrical engineering design role for all sizes of data center modular design projects - enterprise data centers, Colocation Providers and for Hyperscale CompaniesCreate Conceptual Designs gathered from meetings with the client for Field Engineer focusWork with Management to respond to RFPs; Review shop drawings and submittals; Review and respond to RFIsEstablish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of company policies; Put these in clear concise work statement for the fieldLead the company in project meetings when neededCollaborate with all design staff and oversee full cycle electrical design activitiesInteract closely with the Project Management Team to produce construction documents, develop and edit project specifications and lead the construction administration processExecute design projects of complex scopePerform intermediate to advanced electrical design tasks including development of electrical distribution systems and topologies, infrastructure and equipment layouts and selection / sizing of equipmentDevelop and / or review sequences of operationsAssist with proposal development including project scope, schedule and budgetResource forecasting and coordinationIdentify potential project scope changes and aid in development of strategies to minimize impact and control deviations from estimated costs and project deadlinesSupport contact for design clients and builds effective, long-term client relationshipsDirect / coordinate interns / other engineering and technical staff as neededQualifications:BS / MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical fieldProfessional Engineer (PE) license a plus7-10+ years of relevant electrical engineering, design and integration experience in critical power systems, modular data centers, or large-scale electrical infrastructureMust be a U.S. CitizenExtensive Experience with Electrical Power Systems and Equipment - UPS / Uninterruptible Power Supply, Generators, Batteries, switchgear, switchboards, Power Distribution Units, Backup Power, Electrical Power, Power Systems in a prefabricated / prefab or modular environmentsDeep understanding of power distribution design, protective device coordination, and load flow analysisProficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent electrical design platformsDemonstrated ability to lead cross-functional collaboration between engineering, manufacturing, and field execution teamsStrong knowledge of electrical codes and standards (Uptime, NEC, NFPA 70/70E, IEEE, UL)Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with a focus on manufacturabilityStrong background in DFM/DFA principles applied to electrical assembliesProven track record of developing and implementing design standards and best practices across teams or product lines and system reliabilityAbility to work independently while driving technical excellence across multiple projects simultaneouslyMS Office: Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, TeamsSelf Starter, self motivated, and should prioritize wellEffective Communicator – emails, phone and face to faceComplete assignments accurately and with attention to detailAnalyze and prepare documents, reports and correspondenceAbility to work under pressure and meet close deadlinesSubmittal Instructions:Please apply directly by clicking the link below, alternatively you can forward your resume directly to: applying, if you have further questions, you may call and ask for Iggy.
