Electrical Project EngineerIMEG is growing, and we'd love to have you join our team! We are currently seeking an Electrical Project Engineer in Denver, CO in our Greenwood Village, CO office who specializes in commercial interiors, tenant improvements, and other related markets. As an Electrical Project Engineer – 1, you will lead design efforts as a project manager or lead engineer for low to moderate-complexity projects, primarily within the commercial interiors and tenant improvement market. They will be responsible for working closely with peer engineers to provide engineering solutions and advice to clients to ensure positive outcomes. They will be responsible for interacting directly with clients and ensuring client deadlines and standards are met.

Primary responsibilities will include engineering analysis, calculations, and design of electrical systems for the vertical building industry. This position will be expected to work within the project's monetary budget, under quick timelines while mentoring and collaborating with junior design engineers to meet project goals and client expectations.Principal Responsibilities:Lead the analysis and design efforts for electrical systems, utilizing engineering software and tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to code requirements and IMEG standardsInteract with clients to understand their needs, gather project requirements, and communicate technical information effectively; Build and maintain client relationships through professional communicationWork as part of a project team to support the execution of fast-paced consulting projects within the commercial interiors and tenant improvement market.Lead efforts in project planning, scheduling tasks, and managing multiple projects at once to meet various project deadlines and objectives.Document design decisions and instructions from clients while monitoring project design progress as related to percent complete and fee expendedAnalyze engineering problems and propose innovative solutions; Collaborate with senior engineers and consultants to develop practical and efficient solutionsProficient in renovation projects to include the evaluation and re-use of existing electrical systems.Provide in-process design reviews of electrical system design, calculations, and specifications. Implement IMEG quality control processes to ensure that engineering designs and solutions meet IMEG quality standards, industry standards and client requirementsStay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in electrical engineering.Prioritize safety in all aspects of engineering work. Identify and mitigate potential safety risks associated with electrical systemsCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goalsIdentify potential project problems and seek advice from the Project ManagerOversee projects through construction administration phase and provide clients with solution-based communication.Required Skills/Abilities:Proficiency in design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specificationsStrong technical and analytical skills including knowledge of principles relating to circuit theory, electromagnetism, power systems, and electronics as they relate to electrical systems design for buildingsProficient with industry standard engineering software and tools including lighting photometric calculation software such as AGI, Elum Tools, Visual Lighting, or other; power system analysis and design software such as SKM/PTW, Easy Power, or other; and energy compliance software such as ComCheck. Proficient with Adobe or Bluebeam RevuKnowledge of Illumination Engineering Society (IES) StandardsProficient with the use of reference material resources such as NFPA Link, TechStreet, MadCAD, and Facility Guideline Institution (FGI)Knowledge of Master Specification editing and software such as eSPECS, BIM software, and CTC Revit Add In Tools; Proficiency of Smart Engineering Design Assist (SET) Tools within Revit for electrical calculations, coordination, properties, etc.Ability to think, work, and make design decisions quickly to meet fast-paced deadlines.Ability to manage multiple projects in various stages of development and designAbility to train and mentor less experienced staffExcellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groupsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentAttention to detail and problem-solving skillsProficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and OutlookAbility to travel up to 10% with occasional overnight staysEducation and Experience:Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent requiredProfessional Engineer (PE) License preferred3 years of experience minimum required, 4 preferred, in the building design consulting industry with demonstrated experience in the commercial interiors and tenant improvement markets.ORAssociates degree, or certificate in Building Information Modeling (BIM) or Engineering preferred6 years of experience minimum required, 8 preferred, in the building design consulting or construction industryThis position is not eligible for sponsorship."This position is based in our Greenwood Village office, part of the greater Denver metro area."Salary Range: $92,000 - $123,000.

Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
