Senior Dynamic Environments Engineer | Spacecraft

Up to $180,000 + benefits

I'm working with a growing space technology company looking for a Senior Dynamic Environments Engineer to take ownership of dynamic analysis and testing across advanced spacecraft hardware.

This is specifically for someone who has worked hands-on with satellite or spacecraft hardware . If your background includes transient shock, SRS or pyroshock , I'd particularly like to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead dynamic environments analysis across shock, random vibration and acoustic environments
  • Support shock and random vibration testing of flight hardware and propulsion systems
  • Perform analysis from component level through to complete spacecraft systems
  • Develop predictions and evaluate hardware against flight environments
  • Support qualification and sign-off of flight hardware
  • Translate customer requirements into analysis and test activitiesPresent technical results through customer design reviews and reports
  • Work closely with design, manufacturing, analysis and program teams

The core responsibilities around shock, random vibration, acoustic environments and spacecraft-level analysis come directly from the role requirements. The position also involves hands-on dynamic testing and customer-facing technical work.

What I’m looking for

  • 5+ years of relevant engineering experience
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  • Satellite or spacecraft hardware experience
  • Strong background in structural dynamics and dynamic environments
  • Hands-on shock and vibration analysis/testing
  • Strong understanding of vibroacoustics, structural mechanics and dynamics
  • Experience with NASTRAN/FEMAP is highly desirable
  • MATLAB or Python experience is beneficial
  • Transient shock / SRS / pyroshock experience would be a major advantage

The degree, experience and core dynamics requirements are specified in the position criteria. NASTRAN/FEMAP, MATLAB/Python and space or satellite hardware experience are also specifically highlighted.

Important:

This isn't a launch vehicle dynamics search. I'm specifically interested in engineers who have worked on satellites, spacecraft, spacecraft subsystems or spaceflight hardware .

Compensation: up to $180,000, dependent on experience
