Senior Director Quality Compliance and Innovation

We are seeking an experienced VP / Senior Director of Quality, Compliance & Innovation to lead a newly unified vertical combining food safety, regulatory compliance, and product R&D. In this hands‑on, 100% onsite leadership role reporting directly to the COO, you will oversee plant-wide SQF/GFSI compliance while driving our commercial product pipeline from concept through scale‑up. Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end QC/QA functions across manufacturing, incoming materials, in-process controls, and finished-goods release.
• Serve as certified SQF Practitioner, leading GFSI, FDA, USDA, customer, and third‑party audits.
• Manage HACCP, FSMA Preventive Controls, food safety plans, and audit‑ready documentation.
• Drive root cause investigations, CAPA processes, and continuous improvement across quality KPIs.
• Oversee supplier quality, vendor approval, COA reviews, and raw material specifications.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, local regulations, labeling, allergen controls, and recall readiness.
• Lead R&D and culinary teams in new product development from concept through commercialization.
• Direct recipe testing, formulation trials, and formal sensory and tasting panels.
• Oversee SKU portfolio performance, flavor consistency, cost/margin impact, and shelf‑life stability.
• Build and govern a scalable stage‑gate process for innovation from ideation to launch.
• Build, scale, and lead the Quality, Compliance, and Innovation team while managing department budget and KPIs.
• Partner cross‑functionally with executive leadership and represent the company in customer and international discussions.
