Senior Director, Asset Management

The firm is an active owner, operator, and developer of multifamily real estate nationally, with a portfolio spanning both stabilized and lease‑up communities. The company is evolving toward a more institutional, REIT‑style operating platform with a strong emphasis on operational performance, systems, and driving NOI across the portfolio.

They are seeking a Senior Director of Asset Management to play a key role in optimizing the performance of a multifamily portfolio across multiple markets.

The Role

This is a highly operational asset management role focused on driving NOI, enhancing property performance, and helping evolve a more institutional, performance‑driven asset management platform. The firm is looking for a hands‑on leader who can combine strategic thinking with strong operational execution.

The portfolio includes a mix of stabilized and lease‑up multifamily assets, creating an opportunity for someone who enjoys both operational oversight and value creation.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive property and portfolio performance across a multifamily portfolio
• Develop and execute asset‑level business plans focused on NOI growth and value enhancement
• Partner closely with third‑party property management companies, holding them accountable for operational execution and financial performance
• Analyze property performance, identify opportunities for revenue growth and expense optimization, and implement actionable strategies
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis efforts across assigned assets
• Collaborate with internal investment, development, and operations teams to maximize asset performance
• Oversee operational initiatives including procurement, expense management, capital planning, and operational efficiencies
• Provide regular reporting and portfolio insights to senior leadership, helping drive strategic decision‑making
• Help continue the evolution of a more sophisticated and institutional asset management platform
