Senior Level DevOps EngineerApex Systems has an immediate opening for a Senior Level DevOps Engineer with Amazon Web Services experience. This is a contract role with the ability to convert to a full time employee if desired. As part of the Development Team, you will be helping with the automation and streamlining of the application delivery operations and processes.Location: Rockville, MD (100% Remote)Qualifications:At least 3 years of hands-on experience in the areas/tools listed below:Strong background in Linux/Unix AdministrationExperience with automation / configuration management using either Puppet, Chef or an equivalentStrong experience in scripting such as Python, Groovy, Ruby, PerlAbility to use variety of open source technologies and cloud services (experience with AWS is required)Working knowledge of continuous integration platform such as Jenkins and various deployment toolsWorking knowledge of source code repository such as Git (BitBucket), SubversionAdditional Skills and Experience:Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years’ experience in either software development or administrationAt least 2 years of experience administering Jenkins for large-scale CI/CD workflow.At least 2 years of experience working with automation or configuration management using Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform, or CloudFormation.Knowledgeable of common scripting languages such as Bash, Shell, Python, Perl, etc.At least 2 years of experience building software in a cloud service such as AWS.Strong background in Linux/Unix administration.Preferred Skills and Qualifications:Experienced developing software using language such as Java, Python, Ruby, Go.Familiar with container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Containerd.Prior experience administering Gitlab is highly desirable.
