Overview
MD/DC/NVA dealer seeks experienced Designer. Minimum 3 years dealer experience required. Position is hybrid working 2-3 days/week from any of their locations (MD/DC or Richmond).
Responsibilities
- Meet with clients and team members to assess the scope of work and specific project requirements
- Develop complete furniture solutions, which include furniture plans, accurate specifications, and renderings as needed for systems furniture, seating, casegoods, etc
- Review project solutions with clients using effective communication and presentation tools
- Complete audit specifications for team members
- Create electrical (core), permit and installation drawings
- Attend customer sites for field verifications to ensure smooth installation
- Select and present finish options, as needed
- Coordinate multiple tasks and projects effectively to meet deadlines
Qualifications
- Associates’ Degree in Interior Design required, Bachelor’s preferred
- Proficiency in CET or AutoCAD / CAP 20/20
- Knowledge of ADA codes
- Excellent time-management skills/ability to prioritize and estimate design project time
- Knowledge of government contracts helpful
