Senior Designer & Project Director

DCDC is seeking qualified candidates with a background in architecture and/or urban design. The Director position will be a key part of the DCDC team and will be responsible for day-to-day leadership of project staff and deliverables. Applicants should have a working background in architecture and community design project & practice management. Applicants should have experience taking a project through to construction document and construction administration and experience coordinating and reviewing engineering and other consultant work. Applicants should have highly motivated, organized, and self-directed. Candidates should have a professional degree in architecture with 8 years of related work experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Office administration
• Directing and managing projects, overseeing production and reviewing all project materials and deliverables, developing project materials and final deliverables
• Managing and overseeing junior staff and students assigned to the Project Director's projects
• Mentoring junior staff and students assigned to the Project Director's projects
• Business and Fund Development - identifying and securing new project contracts and grants, writing project and grant proposals
