How a Data Scientist Sr Principal Will Make an Impact
- Performs scientific work associated with the analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets; develop data-driven solutions to difficult business challenges
- Investigates, analyzes, and formulates automated search and reporting from the customer environment or enclave.
- Evaluates, tests, and recommends various AI/ML models and tools, including Cloud based module, third party module and open-source products.
- Develop user interface and dashboard for search capability as well as reporting and monitoring capability within hybrid cloud environment or customer provided cloud environment.
- Ensures that cybersecurity plans, controls, processes, standards, policies, and procedures are aligned with cybersecurity standards.
- Identifies security risks and exposures, determines the causes of security violations and suggests procedures to halt future incidents and improve security
- May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals.
- Other duties as assigned related to developing data science and AI/ML initiatives.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Education: Bachelor of Science
- Required Experience: 10+ years of related experience
- Security Clearance Level: Minimum Secret Clearance
- Travel: Occasional travel may be required
- Location: Hybrid
- US Citizenship Required
Required Technical Skills
- Advanced Python programming skills with strong familiarity with AI/ML modules
- Proficiency in machine learning algorithms
- Proficiency in data modeling and visualizations
- Proven experience as a software developer, particularly with language models
- Working experience with Windows and Linux development environments
- Excellent communication skills and ability to conduct presentations to various audiences, including senior leadership
- Must be able to document design, pseudo codes, and flow chart for review and approval
- Familiarity with Data Science related Mathematics including statistics and probability, linear algebra and calculus
Key Responsibilities
- Develop AI/ML tool based on customer requirements
- Communicate and work with team members to meet contractor obligations
- Engage with customer stakeholders and PMO team on a regular basis
- Lead and devise innovative methods and techniques to leverage AI/ML to improve risk assessments
- Provide input to project planning and weekly reports
- Document design, tool’s requirements and user guide
- Setup and provide tool demos to stakeholders

- Salary range: $152,150 - $205,850 (based on experience, location, and contractual requirements)
