This position will identify, analyze, and articulate data requirements and artifacts in the planning and operational execution of:Integration requirements across the Services, Allies, and Partner Nations within the Indo-Pacific Joint Coalition Fires enterprise to achieve maximum effects against selected targetsWork across multiple staff offices to collect and fuse data, develop innovative methods to standardize data ingestion and tagging, and support on-going management of associated USINDOPACOM data assetsDetermine which data are available and useful for the projectCollect, categorize, and analyze dataCreate, validate, test, and update algorithms and modelsUse data visualization software to present findingsMake recommendations to operators for JFN stakeholders based on data analysisWhat you will do:Work across all USINDOPACOM directorates and special staff to understand the data resident within the Command, the types of data most frequently used, and for what purposeProvide ontology and data quality for all USINDOPACOM dataAdvise in the evolution of an INDOPACIFIC data strategy and associated policyUtilize industry standard communication and visualization tools to visualize and communicate complex quantitative information and analysisInterpret and communicate insights and findings from analysis to customer and other stakeholders with required/appropriate documentationTag data assets (i.e. operational, intelligence, enterprise, business activities) to support search and discovery of existing dataFacilitate and develop relationships across the Geographic Combatant Command CDOs, Combatant Commands CDO as well as the Joint Staff CDOSupport USINDOPACOM's responsibilities with respect to planning and data management for risk and vulnerability assessmentsCommunicate effectively verbally and in writing to provide information, articles, written reports, and presentations to include delivering executive summaries to flag and general officers (FO/GO) and Senior Executive Service (SES) level officialsMaintain a real-time understanding of technical requirements that include:Apply analytics and customer segmentation techniques within intelligence functionsMaintain, move, and manipulate data between applications, using appropriate software (e.g., Apache Spark, ElasticSearch, R, Python, Kibana and others as technology evolves)Identify meaningful insights from large data and metadata sourcesCompile reports, charts, and tables based on established statistical methodsPrepare conclusions and predictions based on data summariesAdditional duties as assigned or requiredWhat we are looking for:9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in realted field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experienceExperience with MIL-STD data formats; USMTF/OTH, CMF, TACTICAL DATA LINKS/JREAP and VMFHighly proficient in coding and increased knowledge in FoundryProficiency with Data Science techniques/methods of extracting, organizing, and analyzing both structured and unstructured data to form useful insights and informed decisionsStrong problem-solving skills and creativity in developing and exploiting alternative sources of non-traditional information for DOD customersStrong oral presentation, data visualization, and writing skillsDeep understanding of relevant data sets, architecture, AI processes with the ability to build and then implement in the Joint Fires NetworkClearance: Must possess and maintain a TS/SCIBonus points for:Experience with USINDOPACOM HQ, the AOR, and associated intelligence/operational missionsExperience with intelligence community systems and toolsPrevious experience working in a 4-star HeadquartersExperience with AWS, Java, C++, APIs, SOAP, XML, JSON, and/or JavaScriptPhysical Requirements May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment.
