Senior Data EngineerOur client is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to join their Mobile Insights team out of their Denver, CO, office!
The role will primarily focus on data cleaning, preparation, and ETL tasks to support our Data Science team. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our data processes and reducing costs associated with AWS resources. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a passion for learning, a knack for optimization, and a strong technical background in SQL, PySpark, and Python.Duties:Clean and prepare data for analysis by the Data Science teamDevelop and maintain ETL pipelines for efficient data ingestionOptimize ETL processes to reduce AWS resource usage and costsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for data-driven optimizationsStay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in data engineeringContribute to a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharingDesired Skills/Experience:4+ years of experience in data engineering or a related fieldProficiency in SQL, Pyspark, and PythonExperience with AWS services (e.g., EMR, Lambda, S3, Athena) preferredStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and collaboration abilitiesProven track record of taking initiative and driving resultsPrior experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools is a plusKnowledge of data modeling and statistical analysis techniques is desirable
