Senior Commercial Litigation Associate Or CounselDirect Counsel is seeking a Senior Commercial Litigation Associate or Counsel to join a growing and sophisticated commercial litigation practice in Wilmington. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced litigator looking to take on a leadership role in complex business disputes while working closely with clients and attorneys on high-profile Delaware litigation matters.The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of commercial litigation experience, including substantial experience litigating matters before the Delaware Court of Chancery.ResponsibilitiesHandle complex commercial litigation matters from inception through resolutionDevelop and execute litigation strategy in sophisticated business disputesConduct legal research and draft dispositive motions, briefs, memoranda, and other substantive filingsTake and defend depositionsManage discovery, hearings, mediations, and trial preparationWork directly with clients on case strategy, risk assessment, and dispute resolutionMentor junior attorneys and collaborate with litigation teams across officesRepresent clients in proceedings before the Delaware Court of Chancery and other litigation forumsQualifications7+ years of commercial litigation experienceSignificant experience practicing before the Delaware Court of ChancerySuperior legal research, writing, and motion drafting abilitiesExperience taking and defending depositionsTrial and/or substantial trial preparation experienceStrong academic credentialsExcellent analytical, communication, and client management skillsAbility to independently manage sophisticated litigation mattersActive Delaware Bar admission requiredCompensation & BenefitsBase salary range: $240,000 – $260,0004x4 Hybrid Model (in-office Wednesdays plus four additional in-office days per month)Sophisticated commercial litigation matters and significant client interactionCollaborative and supportive team environmentStrong mentorship, leadership, and professional development opportunitiesDirect Counsel is committed to connecting exceptional legal talent with premier law firms and fostering inclusive hiring practices.
