We pride ourselves in creating an environment and culture that inspires our employees to be the best they can be in an inclusive and judgement-free environment.What You Will Do:Lead a team of engineers responsible for designing, building, and operating secure, scalable cloud infrastructure for ServiceMax commercial and FedRAMP product areasPartner with Cyber Security and compliance leaders to implement security standards (including FedRAMP controls) and drive effective incident responseContinuously improve operational processes, tooling, and on-call practices to increase team efficiency and sustainabilityCoach and mentor engineers, set clear expectations, and foster a collaborative and inclusive team cultureDrive infrastructure-as-code standards and self-service automation (e.g., Terraform/Ansible) to improve consistency, auditability, and delivery speedOwn capacity planning, performance tuning, and cloud cost optimization (FinOps) for production workloadsPartner with Engineering to improve deployment and change management practices (CI/CD, release readiness, rollback strategies) to reduce operational riskWork cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Support, and Customer Success to prioritize reliability work and align on operational roadmapsEvaluate and adopt AI-assisted operations to improve signal-to-noise, accelerate incident triage, and identify recurring issues through intelligent analysisWhat You Bring to ServiceMax:Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, cloud security, and production operations on AWS7+ years of direct, hands-on experience operating cloud production environments3+ years of production experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes3+ years of hands-on experience building cloud automation using Terraform and AnsibleIn-depth experience with Unix/Linux operating systems and shell scriptingStrong understanding of building and operating DevOps pipelines (CI/CD)Experience leveraging AI/ML to improve TechOps outcomes (e.g., anomaly detection, alert noise reduction, incident triage, and predictive capacity planning)Strong communication skills and high emotional intelligenceStrong sense of ownership, urgency, and accountabilityAbility to mentor, lead, and inspire othersMust have qualification:US CitizenshipAbility to commute to San Ramon office 2-3 days a week.Nice to have qualifications:AWS Certified Solution Architect ProfessionalAWS Certified Solution DevOps Engineer ProfessionalAWS Certified Developer ProfessionalWhat ServiceMax Offers You:Highly competitive wellness benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life insuranceFlexible Spending BenefitsFlexible Time Off • 401(k) Retirement Savings Program with an employer matchCommuter BenefitsProfessional development and training opportunitiesCompensation (CIP) PTC carefully considers a wide variety of factors when determining compensation. The anticipated annual salary range for this position is between $175,000 - 210,000.

The salary range reflects a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, candidates may be eligible for a performance-based bonus. Employees also have the opportunity to become a PTC shareholder through our employee share purchase program (ESPP), which allows for the purchase of discounted PTC stock. Certain roles may also be eligible for participation in our equity programs.
