Short-Term Opportunity: Six to Nine Months. Location: Hybrid - Candidates will be required to report on-site 2- 3 times per week.

nFinancial Recordkeeping
nMaintain accurate, complete, and timely financial records in accordance with GAAP, federal/state/local laws, and procurement regulations. · Ensure proper revenue and expense recognition and compliance with accounting standards. ·
nPrepare and review journal entries for complex transactions, including accruals, prepaids, and contract accounting. ·
nPerform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations (e.g., accounts receivable/payable, cash, investments, payroll, etc.). ·
nParticipate in month- and year-end close processes, including preparing documentation and responding to audit requests.
nFinancial Reporting and Analysis
nPrepare and review financial statements and schedules for internal management and external auditors. ·
nAnalyze financial data to identify variances, trends, and risks, and provide recommendations to management. ·
nRecommend and implement process improvements and technology solutions to streamline accounting operations.

nQualifications: · Economics and Accounting: Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial data. ·
nMathematics: Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications. ·
nEnglish Language: Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
nComputers and Electronics: Knowledge of processors and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming. · Clerical: Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology. ·
nAdministration and Management: Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and coordination of people and resources.
nExperience: Preferred 2 – 5 years of public sector and/or non-profit accounting experience Preferred experience with Oracle Fusion ERP (or similar system)
nEducation: Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in accounting, and at least three years of experience in financial reporting. Drain accounting experience is a plus.
