Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Deterrence in Homestead, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer supporting a public transit environment. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and clear communication to passengers, employees, and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at transit facilities and surrounding areas.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, vehicles, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and applicable laws.
• Monitor access points and public areas, report suspicious activity and maintenance concerns, and prepare accurate incident reports and documentation.
• Maintain required armed-post qualifications and handle issued equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, client procedures, and legal requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
