What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
- Respond to incidents, service calls, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or local authorities as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and public areas, assist with directing foot traffic, and provide information and support to the public while following location procedures.
- Observe and report maintenance concerns, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations, and complete required reports with accuracy and professionalism.
Minimum Requirements:
- One or more years of security-related experience is required.
- The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- The ability to use a computer or tablet comfortably is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
