AssemblerAs an Assembler you will be responsible for performing assembly work utilizing lean principles (one-piece flow) to produce FDA regulated devices in a controlled collaborative work environment.Shift: 7:00-4:30 Monday-Thursday and 7:00am-11:00 on FridayWhat You Will Do As An AssemblerAptitude and ability to read and interpret basic Engineer blueprints and utilize Assembly Instructions ("Standard Work") to assembly medical device products. Typically joining mechanical and hydraulic components to include some basic electrical wiring.Ability to manage, evaluate, and assemble components or sub-assemblies accurately and efficiently using small hand tools (tape measure, wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, level, torque wrenches, etc.) to align or position components.Ability to work safely in a demanding environment performing task while standing and/or walking for extended periods (70%-100% of the day).Inspects and performs finished product testing to ensure product meets establish Engineering and Quality requirements.Expected to accurately and legibly record in-process and finished product test results on Device History Record (DHR).Identify and report any defects or problems encountered during the assembly process.Ability to troubleshoot simple equipment malfunctions.Demonstrates the ability to clearly communicate, collaborate, and work effectively with others in a team environment.Ability and willingness to cross-train throughout home department.The Experience, Skills And AbilitiesRequired:High school graduate/GEDOther:Previous assembly experience with small or complex assemblies preferred; 1 - 2 years.Ability to perform in-process inspections and testing preferred; 1 – 2 years.Communication – Ability to read, understand and communicate oral and written instructions in English.Reasoning Ability – Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving parts and equipment variation while maintaining quality expectations.
