Salesforce Business AnalystDiscovery & Requirements:Lead and facilitate discovery workshops with client business stakeholders, process owners, and executives — from initial scoping sessions through detailed requirements gatheringApply structured facilitation techniques to surface current-state pain points, future-state objectives, and prioritized business outcomesDocument business processes, workflows, and system interactions using process maps, swim lane diagrams, and capability modelsIdentify and resolve conflicting requirements across stakeholder groups with confidence and diplomacyDevelop and maintain a comprehensive business requirements document (BRD) and functional specifications aligned to the Salesforce delivery modelUser Stories & Backlog ManagementTranslate business requirements into well-structured, developer-ready user stories with clearly defined acceptance criteriaOwn and manage the product backlog in partnership with the project manager and product owner — grooming, prioritizing, and sequencing stories across sprintsWrite epics, features, and stories at the appropriate level of granularity for Agile deliveryParticipate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives as a core team memberMaintain traceability between business requirements and delivered functionality throughout the programSalesforce ConfigurationTake hands-on ownership of declarative Salesforce configuration — fields, objects, page layouts, record types, validation rules, flows, approval processes, and permission setsConfigure Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and other relevant clouds based on approved design documentationBuild and validate Salesforce flows — screen flows, record-triggered flows, scheduled flows, and auto launched flows — to automate business processesCollaborate with architects and developers to define the boundary between configuration and code, and ensure the configuration layer is clean, scalable, and documentedSupport data migration activities — data mapping, transformation rules, and validation of migrated recordsStakeholder Engagement & CommunicationMaintain strong, ongoing relationships with client business stakeholders throughout the engagementProduce clear, well-structured documentation — meeting notes, decision logs, open issues trackers, and status updatesPresent requirements, designs, and solution walkthroughs to business and technical audiences with equal confidenceSupport change management activities — training materials, process documentation, and user guides aligned to the delivered solutionPractice ContributionContribute to UST's Salesforce BA practice — developing reusable workshop frameworks, user story templates, and configuration checklistsSupport pre-sales efforts with requirements scoping, estimation input, and solution narrative developmentMentor junior BAs and analysts on the delivery teamExperience:6+ years of Salesforce Business Analyst experience on enterprise implementationsProven track record leading discovery workshops and requirements sessions with senior business stakeholdersDeep hands-on experience with Salesforce declarative configuration — flows, validation rules, page layouts, record types, permission setsStrong Agile delivery experience — writing user stories, managing backlogs, and working within sprint-based delivery teamsExperience across multiple Salesforce clouds — Sales Cloud and Service Cloud at minimum; additional clouds a plusPrior consulting or professional services experience strongly preferred — comfort managing multiple stakeholders and navigating ambiguityPlatform Knowledge:Salesforce core platform: objects, fields, relationships, page layouts, record types, profiles, permission sets, sharing rulesSalesforce Flow: screen flows, record-triggered flows, scheduled flows, sub flows, and flow best practicesSalesforce reporting and dashboards — building business-facing reports and driving adoptionAgile/Scrum tooling: Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent for backlog and sprint managementData concepts: data models, data mapping, import/export tools (Data Loader, Data Import Wizard)Working knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud — and ideally one or more of: Health Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing CloudFacilitation & Analytical SkillsExpert workshop facilitation — able to manage large, cross-functional groups and keep sessions focused and productiveStrong process analysis skills — able to map current-state workflows, identify inefficiencies, and design future-state solutionsStructured thinker — able to take complex, unstructured input and turn it into clear, prioritized, actionable requirementsDetail-oriented without losing sight of the bigger picture — knows when to go deep and when to move forwardCertifications — RequiredSalesforce Certified AdministratorSalesforce Certified Business AnalystCertifications — PreferredSalesforce Certified Advanced AdministratorSalesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant or Service Cloud ConsultantSalesforce Certified Associate or Platform App BuilderCertified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certificationSoft Skills & Client Presence:Confident, polished communicator — comfortable presenting to VP and C-suite level stakeholdersStrong active listening skills — able to hear what clients are really asking for, not just what they sayCollaborative team player with the ability to lead without direct authorityResilient and adaptable — able to navigate changing priorities, shifting scope, and ambiguous client environmentsNatural facilitator and consensus builder
