An employer is launching a major CIS Modernization Program, transitioning from a 25‑year legacy billing system to SAP S/4 HANA Utilities (IS‑U). The SAP S/4 HANA Solution Architect will lead end‑to‑end solution design, architectural governance, and integration across SAP platforms, ensuring adherence to SAP best practices and Clean Core principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain enterprise‑level SAP S/4 HANA solution architecture
- Establish SAP integration and data access capabilities
- Govern SAP standards and best practices
- Lead design and implementation using SAP BTP and related services
- Partner with cross‑functional and technical teams
- Ensure scalability, performance, and security across the landscape
- Conduct architecture reviews and support governance processes
- Validate implementation adherence to approved designs
- Enforce Clean Core and minimize customizations
Required Skills & Experience
- Must live in Denver/Minneapolis metro area or willing to travel 2-3 weeks a month onsite to these cities
- 10+ years SAP experience
- 5+ years SAP S/4 HANA Utilities (IS‑U)
- 5+ years SAP BTP & Integration Suite
- 3+ years AWS experience
- Strong architectural governance and solution design experience
- SAP S/4 Utilities: FICA, Billing, Meter Management
- SAP BTP: Integration Suite, Event Mesh, DataSphere
- Strong understanding of security, performance, and scalability principles
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Science, or equivalent
- SAP Solution Architect or Technology Professional certification
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, TOGAF, LeanIX
