RN, Wound Care Nurse in Beautiful St. Charles

Position: Wound Care Nurse, RN (Registered Nurse) / LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)

The qualified nurse for this position will assess and evaluate patients with wounds and injuries, and ensure optimum patient care delivery in wound care nursing procedures. The wound care nurse will provide preventative care to ensure infection does not set in and that other complications do not arise. Education and coordinating care with other health professionals is another important aspect of this position.

Position Highlights

• Primarily responsible for overseeing the Wound Care Measures
• Communicate changes in patients’ conditions to physicians, supervisors, family members, dieticians, and other partners as appropriate.
• Be a go-to-person for partner support
• Ability to educate partners by conducting in-services and one on one learning
• Ability to investigate, track and trend identified areas of opportunities
• Provide partner support and coaching
• Passion for wound care and healing patients
• On call rotation with other nurse managers

Job Type: Full Time

Experience

• Must have Missouri Registered Nurse (RN) license or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
• Must have superior communication skills & be an effective leader
• Must be flexible, caring, compassionate, and a team player
• Prior experience in wound care preferred, but not required
