Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in North Portland is a vital leader in serious clinical illness or injury, providing 24/7 expertise in trauma, heart care, burns, strokes, brain surgery, and more. It is a Level 1 Trauma Center, Regional Burn Center, serving both adult and pediatric populations, with 23 adult bays and 8 pediatric bays in PACU.
Responsibilities
Responsible for patient care within an assigned department/unit, participating as a member of the healthcare team under the direction of the clinical manager. The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care following established standards, including patient assessment and transfer protocols.
Qualifications
- Education: As required by licensure. BSN or degree in progress strongly preferred. BSN may be required for specific assignments; experienced RNs without a BSN may be hired based on clinical experience with site CNO approval.
- Experience: One-year registered nursing experience or completion of Legacy Health RN Residency or equivalent. Additional experience may vary by department.
- Previous PACU, Emergency, or Critical Care nursing experience preferred.
- Must meet the 45-minute call requirement.
Knowledge/Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians, and the community.
- Proficiency in keyboard and electronic systems relevant to the role.
