Position Description:

The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate the onboarding of all new hired staff. The Staff Educator will provide ongoing education on a regular basis to align with the needs of the facility.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor ongoing staff educational needs and access external resources, programs or workshops for continuing education of staff.
  • Collaborate with staff to obtain required licensure CEU education in accordance with state licensure/certification requirements.
  • Develop, evaluate & control the quality of educational programs in accordance with clinical best practices.
  • Assign mandatory training for all staff in Relias and track compliance on a monthly and annual basis.
  • Oversee the general orientation for all new employees.
  • Oversee facility Infection Control program
  • Ensure all reporting and facility Infection Control practices with regulatory compliance
  • Track and Trend all Infections in the facility
  • Staff Education as it relates to Infection Control Practices

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in this state or compact state.
  • Minimum of 2 years RN experience in a skilled nursing center preferred.
  • Background in education preferred.
