Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Newborn Nursery holds shift accountability for providing care to Newborn Nursery patients during the immediate neonatal phase and newborn care. This role requires the utilization of the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care.
- Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
- Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available.
- Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
All travel submissions must have at least 2 years of experience along with prior travel experience. No locals will be accepted. Candidates must possess a valid RN license.
