Registered Nurse - Neurological Unit
This is a 13-week contract position.
Rotating shifts (3x12.0) with blocked weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), holidays, and on-call requirements.
An exciting opportunity awaits as you start your career on a specialized neurological unit. This is an excellent unit to learn about various neurological diseases while utilizing your nursing and critical thinking skills. You will work with our interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment caring for patients with stroke, epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Guillain Barre Syndrome, and more. As a Joint Commission accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center and the only Level 4 Epilepsy Monitor Unit in our region, we see many acute and complex patients. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team that values nurses' skills, talents, and compassion for our patient population.
- Provide comprehensive care for patients with neurological conditions.
- Utilize telemetry experience to monitor patients effectively.
- Collaborate with a specialized team for the evaluation and treatment of seizures.
- Engage in critical thinking and decision-making processes to optimize patient outcomes.
- RN License (New York Only)
- Two (2) years of nursing experience in a telemetry unit.
- BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
- NIHSS certification.
- Telemetry experience is required.
