Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN)
We have an exciting opportunity for an Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) to work in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art environment. This role involves providing specialized patient care to adult inpatients and outpatients undergoing a variety of interventional radiology procedures, including biopsies, embolizations, ablations, angiography, and drain placements.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures.
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
- Provide post-procedure recovery care, including work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and extended stay (23-hour) settings.
- Participate as an essential member of the critical embolization response team for trauma patients.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Qualifications
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Telemetry experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Interventional Radiology.
- Valid New York State RN License.
Candidates will be required to wear hospital-issued and laundered scrub pants and tops, as well as adhere to other infection prevention measures when necessary in procedural areas.
