Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction and educational support to students receiving special education services

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff

• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual student needs

• Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation

• Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and educational planning activities

• Support students in achieving academic, behavioral, and transition goals

Required Qualifications

• Valid state teaching certification as required by state, district, or contract regulations

• Must comply with all relevant professional standards of practice

• Current CPR certification (if required)

• TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if required)

• Current health certificate (if required by contract or state regulations)

• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university

• Minimum one year of teaching experience

• Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Education Teaching Certification

• Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement
