Position Summary
Indiana University School of Medicine, Bloomington (IUSM-Bloomington) is seeking a Residency Program Director in Internal Medicine. The program will match its first class of residents in March 2026 and focuses on primary care. The Director will be a dually employed clinical track faculty member in the Department of Internal Medicine and will build a new primary‑care‑focused residency program.
Working at a 50% FTE level, the Director will supervise administrative staff and core faculty, maintain the curriculum, teach and mentor residents and students, and recruit residents. The role includes a 50% clinical commitment supported by an IUHMG clinical appointment in the IU Health South Region.
Responsibilities
- Implement the new Internal Medicine GME program.
- Supervise administrative staff and core faculty, maintain curriculum, teach and mentor residents and students.
- Recruit residents.
- Provide 50% clinical commitment in IU Health South Region.
Qualifications
- Terminal degree (MD or DO).
- Active, unrestricted Indiana medical license.
- At least three years of graduate medical education experience in a core faculty position with an established residency program.
