Research Scientist II

Research Scientists are individuals holding a Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree who play a major role in enabling research programs through collaborative and collegial interactions with faculty, postdoctoral fellows, graduate students and staff. The rank of the research scientist is a staff appointment. A research scientist may apply his/her effort entirely to research, or a combination of research, training, and lab managerial activities.

This position will conduct specialized iPSC line derivation, gene‑editing, validation, and differentiation services based on user requests and needs, as well as iPSC core directives. They will manage the resources of the iPSC Core Facility, including tracking expenditures, managing billing, and other tasks related to maintaining the Core’s operational efficiency and fiscal sustainability. They will also provide administrative support for the Tulane Center of Excellence for Microphysiological Systems.
