nWHAT IS THE ROLE OF RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT AT GENERAL MILLS?
nThe General Mills R&D Leadership Development Program isa great waytokick-offyour career. As part of the program, you will have 2-3 robust experiences in your first few years at General Mills, building broad experience in technical foundations, functional depth, and professional development.You'lldevelop and enhance your digital skills in this role, gaining experience in data analysis, project management, and/or collaboration tools. The program allows candidates todemonstrateleadership, embrace a learning mindset, build a strong network of peers, develop business context, andlearnthe General Mills and Innovation, Technology & Quality (ITQ) culture.
nWHAT WILL I DO?
nLeveraging engineering principals to design and test new or improved processes for development and commercialization
nPartner with Engineering and Manufacturing to develop and scale process solutions
nUse engineering principles to scale-up products from benchtop and pilot plant to full scale production
nCreate new, improve existing, andeliminatewaste from products and processes
nCollaborate with cross-functional internal partners to build and grow our businesses
nEngage external partners around the world to increase efficiency and toidentifynew capabilities
nInteract with consumers and customers to develop meaningful insights and translate them into concepts, prototypes, and commercial offerings
nDevelop technical depth and business acumen
nApply or build digital tools to accelerate learning.
nSolve technicalproblemsleveragingnew or existing digital tools.

nMinimum Qualifications:
nPursuing aBachelors in Chemical Engineering, Food Process Engineering, or related degree
nGraduating in Winter 2026or Spring 2027
nExperience or interest in programming, data analysis, and modeling
nPreferred Qualifications:
nStrong academic record
nDemonstrated ability to achieve results and a commitment to developing technical and business skills
nAdaptability, curiosity, and inventiveness
nStrong interpersonal and communication skills, passion for R&D, enthusiasm, and the ability to conduct themselves professionally
nDemonstrated leadership experience in academic projects, extracurricular activities, orpreviouswork experiences
