Reporting AnalystOur client is a global financial services firm located in Rockville, MD. They are seeking a reporting analyst to join a newly formed group tasked with transforming and supporting Fund Accounting, Fund Administration, Tax Operations, and Transfer Agency departments within their Rockville, MD office.Job ResponsibilitiesWorking with internal business users and subject matter experts, the selected candidate will design and build reports used throughout the Fund Accounting business unit as part of a migration to a new tools framework. This framework will require some reports to be built in a proprietary tool, as well as some in a commercial reporting package.
Finally, they will be responsible for change management and documentation of their solutions.Specific ResponsibilitiesDesign, create and maintain operational reports and forms that will support the Fund Accounting business.Design, create and maintain alerts and exception reports that automate existing Fund Accounting processes.Extract and manipulate data as part of business analysis and operational reporting.Act as a liaison to the business to surface issues and resolve problems.Qualifications and SkillsBachelor's degree (Computer Science, Accounting, Finance or similar preferred)3+ years experience using the Tableau report writing tool1+ year of SQL development experienceCapital Markets/Financial Services Administration knowledge and experience desiredPast experience with FIS InvestOne Fund Accounting system and Exception Management System module a plusAbility to work with targeted direction in a fast paced environmentStrong attention to detail with an ability to maintain a high level of information integrity and accuracyStrong experience with developing reporting solutions that transform business process to an exception driven approachExtensive experience with documentation and problem solvingExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalPossess a can-do attitude, resourceful, excellent work ethic, enthusiastic, customer-orientedExposure to SharePoint advantageousGift for making things better than when they were foundExcellent organizational and interpersonal skillsAssertive, flexible, pro-active and a team player
