Structural Quality Engineer (pe Is Required)
Compensation: $90,000 - $130,000+ (flexible for exceptional candidates)
Location: Remote — Must reside in Michigan or Minnesota
Travel: 25-50% throughout Michigan or Minnesota; all travel expenses paid with company card
Schedule: Home every weekend

- Develop and execute supplier qualification programs
- Oversee Quality Management Systems (QMS) on large infrastructure projects
- Write and improve Quality Assurance (QA) programs for agency clients
- Review fabrication, manufacturing, and engineering drawings
- Review design plans and provide technical recommendations
- Develop Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
- Investigate and resolve quality nonconformance issues
- Review welding documentation, including WPS, PQR, and WQTR
- Deliver quality and technical training to clients
- Interpret industry codes, standards, and contract requirements
- Develop technical specifications, inspection procedures, and quality documentation
- Experience in quality management within construction, fabrication, manufacturing, or infrastructure
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work directly with clients and project stakeholders
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio) and Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to travel up to 50%
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
- ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA)
- 5+ years leading Quality Management Systems in fabrication or construction
- 3+ years of engineering experience on transportation or transit projects
- 3+ years of project management experience on structural or infrastructure projects
