Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care UnitMinimum experience: 1 year; 1st timers are accepted. Patient population: Adults to geriatrics. Certifications required: BLS, ACLS. General skills and work setting requirements: All Protentional MS, MS Tele, PCU diagnoses. Float required to all MS, MS/Tele, PCU units within the hospital.
Ratio / census: 1:4-5 PCU; 1:5-6 MS, MS Tele unit. Systems: Epic (required), Pyxis, SBAR. Scrub color: Navy blue. RTO: MAX 7 days. Weekends: Every other weekend (average 6 weekends in a 13-week contract).
Floating: Required. Call requirements: None. Holidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.
Major holidays are listed below: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Years Eve/New Years Day.
