We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join a fast-paced outpatient surgical team in a state-of-the-art orthopedic surgery center.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care throughout the surgical process, including preoperative education, assessment, and post-surgical follow-up.
- Prepare patients for procedures, monitor them during surgery, and administer medications per physician and protocol guidelines.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic medical records.
- Educate patients and families on postoperative care and recovery expectations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Active Connecticut RN license and a minimum of 1 year RN experience.
- Experience in Orthopedics, Operating Room, PACU, or Surgical Services preferred.
- Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
- Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills in a collaborative environment.
