Unit Specializes in:
5 West serves a variety of patient types including Heart Monitoring, Observation, General Medical/Surgical, Oncology/Chemo, Medical Psychiatry, and Palliative/Hospice. Our 39-bed unit provides individualized care plans to help patients return to their pre-hospitalization state or as close as possible. You will be part of a collaborative medical team discussing the best care for each patient. RN ratios are 1:5 or 1:6 based on acuity. Job Description
The RN at DMC is responsible for nursing care management, collaborating with physicians and healthcare teams, delegating and evaluating patient care, monitoring progress, and preparing patients for discharge. The RN reports to senior management and participates in shared decision-making.
Qualifications
- Graduation from a school of nursing required
- BSN preferred
- Licensed to practice as an RN in Michigan required
- American Heart Association BLS required
