Role Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, utilizing evidence-based practices, technology, and team coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess: Evaluate physical, social, psychological, cognitive, and developmental status by gathering information from patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Plan: Develop individualized care plans collaboratively, involving patients and families, and prepare for ongoing support post-care.
  • Implement: Direct and coordinate care through delegation and collaboration, managing resources and setting priorities effectively.
  • Evaluate: Monitor patient responses, review outcomes, and adjust care plans accordingly to ensure optimal results.
  • Professionalism: Uphold legal, ethical, and regulatory standards, maintain accurate documentation, and promote professional growth.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Valid RN license in the practicing state; BSN required within four years for less experienced RNs.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Skills in patient care delivery, interdisciplinary teamwork, documentation, communication, critical thinking, and care coordination.

Physical & Other Requirements

  • Ability to see, read, communicate effectively, manipulate equipment, lift, and assist with patient mobility.
  • Ability to navigate busy environments and operate vehicles if applicable.
