IR Technologist – Interventional Radiology Tech
Schedule: 4x10 days (0700–1730) - Day shift
Requirements:
- Required certifications/licenses:
- ARRT (R)
- BLS
- Washington state license
- Preferred: 1 year of IR experience
Core required procedures/competencies:
- Y-90 chemo delivery (radioembolization)
- GI bleed interventions
- TPA administration
- Vein sampling
- Phase II recovery
- Cryoablations
Clinical skills:
- Interventional radiology procedures (embolization, stent placement, angiography)
- Central venous access/PICC care, IVC filters, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, TIPS, nephrostomy, drain/chest tube management
- Ability to scrub and circulate; maintain sterile field
- Charting system: EPIC
- Medications system: Pyxis
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform interventional radiology procedures including but not limited to embolization, stent placement, and angiography.
- Assist with radioembolization and RFA cases as needed.
- Ensure maintenance of sterile fields while scrubbing and circulating during procedures.
- Conduct patient assessments and provide post-procedure care in Phase II recovery.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to manage patient care effectively.

- References: 2 references covering 1 year within the last 3 years are required prior to start.
- Mandatory modules must be completed pre-start (average ~16 hours; more than 20 hours requires PM approval).
- Additional compliance requirements include submitting references and completing necessary modules before start.
