Radiology Tech - CT TechPerform computed tomography imaging studies, positioning patients, operating CT equipment, and ensuring image quality and patient safety.Collaborate with radiologists and technologists to deliver accurate, timely CT exams and optimize dose management.ResponsibilitiesPrepare patients and position for CT scans; select appropriate protocolsOperate CT scanner, acquire images, and adjust parameters for optimal resultsMonitor patient status, manage contrast administration if applicable, and ensure safetyReview images for quality and communicate findings to radiologistsDocument procedures and ensure proper labeling and archiving in the EMRMaintain equipment, perform routine maintenance, and report malfunctionsAdhere to radiation safety protocols and dose optimization guidelinesAssist with scheduling and coordination of CT servicesQualificationsEducation:Radiologic Technologist degree with CT imaging trainingLicensure:State licensure as a radiologic technologistCertifications:ARRT CT certificationBasic Life Support (BLS) certificationExperience or Skills:2+ years performing CT imaging; strong attention to detail and patient interaction skillsExperienceCT imaging experience in hospital or outpatient settingsExperience with contrast protocols and radiation safetyPreferredExperience with multidetector CT and advanced protocolsWork EnvironmentImaging department environment with fast-paced workflow and collaboration with radiologistsDocumentation in EMR and PACS with emphasis on patient safety
