Cardiac Cath Lab Tech
The Cardiac Cath Lab Tech will be responsible for scrubbing in procedures. The unit includes 4 rooms, accommodating 1 patient per room. The staff consists of 22 individuals, including RNs and Techs. During the day shift, there is a director and manager along with a minimum of 3 staff members per room. On the night shift, an on-call team of 4 staff members handles STEMI calls. The patient-to-staff ratio is 1:1. All equipment used in the lab is GE. Documentation is managed through Meditech and MacLab systems. There are call requirements with a maximum of 15 days during critical periods. Typical procedures performed include cardiac catheterizations, cerebellar angiograms, stent placements, balloon procedures, and ENT lab procedures. Candidates should be adaptable to a fast-paced environment and capable of working independently. Scrub colors are surgical scrubs, provided by the unit. The department is well recognized and has received accolades for its operation and management. Daily huddle calls are conducted to foster relationship development between the staff and the director.
