Base Pay Range
$33.64/hr - $50.46/hr
Pay based on experience : $33.64-$50.46
PRN – Choose your own hours! You also receive a 15% pay differential on top of base pay!
Schedule : 7:45am-4:30pm, As needed and variable.
Education Qualifications
- Must have satisfactorily completed a 12 or 24 month Radiation Therapy Technology Program Required
Licenses and Certifications
- Radiation Therapist - ARRT Required
- Basic Life Support - BLS/RQI Required within 90 days of hire
Experience Qualifications
- 1 year Experience in a major cancer center or equivalent field. Preferred
Summary of Responsibilities
- Works as a liaison between patient, radiation oncologist and other clinical staff.
- Acquire MV, KV, CBCT imaging of patient per directions of Radiation Oncologist to determine the exact location of the area requiring treatment.
- Explains treatment plans to the patient and answers questions about treatment.
- Implements and delivers a planned course of treatment with high professional standards for patient positioning, immobilization, documentation and patient comfort.
- Follows safety procedures to protect the patient and themselves from overexposure to radiation.
- Constructs and/or prepares immobilization devices, beam directional devices and any other treatment aids, which facilitate treatment delivery.
- Serves as a source of support and encouragement for each individual patient and their families.
- Interacts and evaluates honestly and fairly with all students placed within the department. Instructs appropriately and consistently, according to department treatment procedures, to benefit and advance the profession.
