Job Details

Role Description

This is a full-time, onsite position located in Richardson, Texas. The Quality Director will lead the company's quality function and oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of its quality management systems.

Responsibilities include maintaining compliance with industry and customer requirements, leading internal and external audits, overseeing quality assurance and quality control practices, developing employee training programs, and managing a small team of exempt-level quality professionals. This individual will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and leadership to maintain the highest standards of product quality and performance.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in quality management, quality assurance, and quality control within a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Deep, hands-on knowledge of AS9100 is required
  • Prior defense, DoD, aerospace, or similarly regulated manufacturing experience is strongly preferred
  • Previous experience managing a small team of exempt-level employees
  • Strong background conducting quality audits and improving internal processes and systems
  • Experience developing and leading training initiatives
  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and industry quality standards
  • Experience in precision manufacturing, optical systems, or a similar technical environment is preferred
  • Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field is required
  • Advanced degrees and relevant quality certifications are a plus
