OHLA USA is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead quality efforts on a high-profile marine infrastructure project. This is a hands-on, high-impact role responsible for ensuring compliance, driving quality standards, and protecting project performance.ResponsibilitiesManage and control quality documentation, submittals, and document revisionsReview submittals for compliance prior to client submissionInspect materials and equipment for conformance with contract documents and approved submittalsLog and report material delivery inspectionsDevelop and manage Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)Coordinate and schedule third-party inspections and testingConduct preparatory phase meetings prior to definable scopes of workSchedule and oversee mock-ups, initial inspections, and follow-upsIdentify and enforce hold points per project specificationsManage subcontractor and supplier quality complianceConduct internal and external audits and generate surveillance reportsTrack and maintain quality records, reporting, and statistical analysisVerify calibration reports and ensure all certifications (including welders) are currentIdentify and manage nonconforming conditions (NCRs) and lead corrective/preventive actionsEnsure compliance with marine construction standards including underwater concrete placement, pile driving tolerances, cathodic protection, and corrosion control specificationsOversee quality control for geotechnical operations including backfill placement, vibro compaction, density testing, and settlement monitoring, ensuring compliance with design specifications and testing frequencies.Ensure proper handling, storage, and control of materials and equipmentConduct training and evaluate effectiveness across project teamsSupport design process control and interpret drawings/specificationsQualifications5+ years of quality management experience in marine construction, including port, waterfront, bulkhead, or coastal infrastructure projectsExperience with ground improvement techniques and geotechnical testing programs on marine or port construction projectsInvision Certification (Preferred)Strong knowledge of Construction Quality Programs (CQP), ITPs, audits, and document controlAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsExperience with subcontractor oversight and field quality controlExperience on marine/port or large-scale infrastructure projectsFamiliarity with FDOT or public agency standardsAdditional Benefits offered by OHLA USA:Medical, Dental, & Vision InsuranceShort- and Long-Term Disability & Life Insurance401(k) retirement plan with employer matchingTuition Reimbursement after 1 year of employmentPersonal Time Off Program (PTO)Engaging work environmentAnd much more!!
