Quality Assurance EngineerSummary: The Quality Engineer works with cross-functional resources to develop, qualify, continuously improve, and document Quality processes and methods to enable and ensure all process outputs meet customer expectations. The Quality Engineer proactively supports all aspects of STULZ to improve Safety, Quality, and Productivity.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Compliance of ISO 9001:2015 program.Develop, qualify, continuously improve, and document Quality processes and methods.Interface with Safety, Manufacturing Engineering, Sales, Design Engineering, and Production teams to ensure Quality and Business processes are capable of customer on-time delivery and satisfaction.Utilize Lean and Six Sigma methods and techniques to eliminate waste and reduce process variation of manufacturing, office, supplier performance, and field service processes and deliverables to improve quality, on-time delivery, reduce lead-time, and reduce costs.Lead projects to improve the quality of new products, processes and technologies throughout the organization.Develop methods, processes, and procedures to capture data for analysis to facilitate quality improvements.Conduct formal assessments of internal and external processes.Coordinate company internal activities for the resolution of customer complaints and concerns.Prepare and maintain corrective and preventive actions for quality opportunities.Qualifications:ISO Quality systems and requirementsQuality processes and systems in a Custom Configured, High Mix – Low Volume, Make-to-Order businessSheet Metal fabrication, welding, pipe brazing, powder coating, wiring, and assembly processes familiaritySAP manufacturing and quality software competencyMechanical aptitudeRisk management techniquesComputer literacy in MS OfficeEducation/Experience:BS in Mechanical, Industrial, Quality Engineering or equivalent experience3+ years of experience in Quality SystemsExperience with ISO 9001:2015 processes and proceduresExperience in complex quality initiatives including new product developmentStrong verbal and written communication skills including good persuasion skillsExperience with problem-solving and corrective action development and management with a teamwork approach and customer relationshipStatistical techniques, Process Control charts, data collection and analysis for problem resolution.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:ASQ QE CertificationASQ Auditor CertificationLean Sigma Black BeltLanguage Skills:Ability to read and understand English instructions.Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, use hands to finger, reach with hands and arms; stoop, and talk or hear.The employee is frequently required to walk.The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.Work Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an office environment as well as a manufacturing environment.The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.The employee is frequently exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, and vibration.The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places.The noise level in the work environment is can be loud.Nearest Major Market: Washington DC
