Procures proper dies, sets up punch presses and feeds for all types of materials. All types of dies may be set up including compound, multiple, closing, trimming, shearing, drawing, perforating, cut-off, shimmy, coining, extruding, etc.Minimum Qualifications:Ability to read blueprints a must.Fluency in verbal and written EnglishAbility to use shop mathHigh school diploma, GED or equivalentMust supply own toolsPhysical Demands:Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularlyRequires frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containersMay be required to stand for long periods of timeMay involve repetitive motionsDue to open environment of warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and coldSpecific Duties:Ensure Punch Press is in full operation during the required work hoursInspect material; checking for type and measuring dimensions using a micrometer and a QA tag.Shear material using a "Traveler"Make the part according to specifications on dimension and quantityMeasure blank or strip using measurement tape or dial caliperUse shearing machine as per drawing or instructionsSet up the punch press (under supervision if necessary) and punch first partEnsure that inspection of first and last piece is done by operator and QARun job and check parts using SPCTumble parts and remove burrsSpot weld parts, if necessaryInspect part according to printGet QA approval of part.Manufacture and inspect part to blueprintUpkeep daily preventative maintenance logRequired Tool List:6" VerniersTape MeasureBall Peen HammerSet Allen WrenchesThis list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as it may be deemed necessary.
