Key Qualifications:
- Active and unencumbered RN license required
- Minimum of one year of recent experience in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing
- Demonstrated expertise in crisis intervention, de-escalation techniques, and therapeutic communication
- Proficiency in conducting patient assessments and implementing individualized care plans
- Current BLS certification
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Ability to document accurately and manage electronic health records
- Flexibility to adapt to fast-paced mental health settings
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care and monitor mental and physical health status
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to implement care plans
- Administer medications and evaluate patient responses
- Offer support and education to patients and families about mental health conditions and treatments
- Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings
- Respond promptly to psychiatric emergencies and employ appropriate interventions
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for all patients
