The Solutions Manager provides team direction and accountability for a variety of project proposal requirements including field audits, rebate incentives, material and labor costs, competitive pricing, and the management of timelines and deliverables. The Solutions Manager leads communication with internal EMC teams, business partners and clients during the execution of these proposal activities.Essential Job Functions:Collaborate with EMC teams to qualify customer opportunities and EMC's ability to provide a successful solutionIdentify and select Best-In-Class lighting technologies and solutions for upcoming projectsEngage EMC Teams (Sales, Customer Solutions, Sourcing, Finance, Operations) to obtain relevant information for creating project proposalsBuild quotes and proposals remotely as neededManage proposal timelines and quality, along with overall customer expectationsProvide progress updates to project team as neededSupport RFP efforts from Solutions perspectiveAssist with utility incentives and EPAct 2005 preparation for specific proposals/projectsProvide consistent responses and quality service to internal and external customersProactive identification and resolution of issues as they ariseProvide leadership on the multiple customer opportunities concurrently.Execute project proposal package hand-off of awarded project to EMC Project Manager and provide support to ensure successful project implementationSupport sales as the Subject Matter Expert when proposals are presented to the clientAttend industry and job training programsImprove and develop knowledge of lighting and controls technology.Obtain industry recognized certificationsBecome a cross-functional resource on the Solutions Management team to assist with both lighting design and audit functionsTravel to project sites to determine scope of work and conduct audits as neededPerforms other duties as assignedSkills and Abilities:Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skillsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsProficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel used for tracking and analysisDetail-orientated, high degree of accuracy and ability to multi-taskAbility to manage multiple tasks and hold project team accountableAbility to work as a part of a team as well as independentlyKnowledge of lighting and/or electrical productsEducation:Four-year Bachelor's degreeExperience Required:Lighting/electrical contracting/installation experienceProject management, estimating and customer service experienceExperience Preferred/Other Qualifications:Commercial construction experience a plusPhysical Job Requirements and Working Conditions:The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 poundsPotential for up to 30-50% travelEMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer – Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, National Origin, Disability, Veteran.
