Responsibilities
- Bid process: Review architectural drawings, do takeoffs, obtain quotes for materials, and prepare proposals for new contracts.
- Contract compliance: Review contracts scope and specifications and prepare all submittal information and track their approval.
- Design phase: Review fabrication drawings, confirm compliance with Architectural drawings, prepare RFIs (Request for Information) and incorporate changes.
- Procurement: Prepare request for proposals, review their cost and issue Purchase Orders and Subcontract Agreements.
- Construction: Prepare and manage construction schedules, daily reports, site pictures, etc.; attend construction meetings, field measure substrates and assist superintendents with quality control and prepare and track punch lists and submit closeout documents and warranties.
- Project Financials: Prepare and submit monthly requisitions, change orders, and cost/labor tracking reports
- Help train and develop the office and field working team.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience accepted.
- 5 years minimum experience as a project coordinator, project engineer, or project manager on commercial glazing preferred
- Strong experience in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam. xhqgsiq Experience in AutoCAD preferred.
- Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
- Multi-tasking, self-motivated and interested in learning construction industry tasks
