Project ManagerThe Project Manager will manage the execution of projects from cradle to grave including its planning, programming, budgeting, design, construction, and closeout for domestic water infrastructure and related facilities. Projects could include water distribution systems, pumping stations, wells, tank reservoirs, and similar water facilities. Prepare planning, basis of design, lessons learned, and other related engineering reports.
Perform advanced technical, professional, and full performance administrative and supervisory level work. Assist with engineering functions, including the preparation, review, and presentation of engineering plans and specifications.Job QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited college or universityProfessional Engineering license preferred.Demonstrated competency in Engineering Design or Construction Management with an emphasis on public works projectsBusiness development and design standards experience with Federal, State, municipal and private agenciesEngaged in lifelong learning to maintain knowledge of contemporary issuesStrong interpersonal and public relations skills to work effectively with coworkers, clients, government officials, and community organizationsAbility to communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and over the telephoneAbility to articulate ideas and concepts both visually and contextuallyProficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and Project Management Information System (PMIS) softwareFamiliarity with software design and development tools like AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Fulcrum, and other related software preferredVersatile and interested in working on a variety of projectsSelf-starter, results oriented and be able to work under tight deadlinesPrevious business development experience is a plusExperience working in diverse settings with an occasional requirement to visit project sites on O ? ahuValid driver's licenseEssential Job FunctionsSuccessfully manage and deliver projects on time and on budget, ensure proper and timely execution on projectsPlan and forecast resources and manage all technical activities on assigned projectsPrepare and review technical memorandums, reports, drawings, specifications, as well as miscellaneous contract documents and deliverablesConduct site visits and condition assessmentsDevelop and monitor changes within project scopes, identify issues and contingency plansAttend public hearings/meetings and make presentations as neededConduct and coordinate Biddability, Constructability, Operability, Environmental, and Sustainability (BCOES) reviewsUtilize internal project management tools and resourcesProvide marketing and technical supportConduct feasibility and research studiesCoordinate work activities with those of other divisions, departments, and agenciesOther duties as assignedLocation: Honolulu, HISalary Range: $99,148 – $116,967 per year depending on experience
