Project EngineerProject Engineer will support capital projects at wind farms across the region, primarily in Southwest Minnesota, with sites throughout MN, SD, and nearby areas.Project Engineer Responsibilities:Manage a portfolio of approximately a dozen projects per year, overseeing the entire project lifecycle at wind facilities.Plan and schedule capital projects at wind farms.Order equipment and coordinate with contractors.Communicate and collaborate with site Operations & Maintenance teams.Perform limited research and development to select optimal equipment options.Manage a multiyear (5-year) project portfolio, including budgeting and forecasting.Ensure quality, adherence to schedule, and control costs.Travel during construction windows to oversee installations, as needed.Engage in desk-based planning and scheduling, including opening and planning work orders.Coordinate schedules and field visits with contractors.Work with O&M teams to align priorities.Research equipment options and document decisions.Develop and manage budgets and forecast project portfolios.Occasionally visit sites during construction to oversee work.Requirements:Engineering degree (Mechanical or Electrical preferred; other disciplines considered), ideally from an ABET-accredited programProject management experiencePMP certification (nice to have)PE license (nice to have)Renewables experience, especially wind energyStrong communication skills, critical due to multisite coordinationAbility to work effectively with O&M teamsIndependent problem solving and ownershipApproximately 3–7 years of relevant experienceStrong renewables project management background considered, even without a degree (engineering degree highly preferred, not required)
