Project Engineer – Wastewater & Industrial Conveyor SystemsLocation: Alpharetta, GA Pay Rate: $41.00–$43.27 per hour (up to approximately $90,000 annually)Overview: An experienced Project Engineer responsible for managing industrial wastewater conveyance and bulk material handling projects from concept through fabrication, installation, and commissioning. This role blends technical engineering knowledge with hands-on project management and frequent customer interaction, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to specification.Key Responsibilities:Interpret customer requirements and specifications for wastewater conveyance and industrial conveyor systemsDevelop engineering deliverables including layouts, general arrangements, and equipment specificationsPerform equipment selection, load calculations, motor and drive sizing, and material handling analysisPrepare and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and cost estimatesReview and approve vendor proposals, shop drawings, submittals, and fabrication documentsCoordinate with fabrication shops, purchasing, and installation teams to meet project milestonesProvide technical support during fabrication, installation, start-up, testing, and commissioningInterface directly with customers and contractors to provide updates, manage change orders, and resolve issuesMaintain complete project documentation including engineering files, change logs, and test reportsEnsure compliance with applicable wastewater, environmental, and industrial design standardsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering3 or more years of project engineering or project management experience in industrial or heavy equipment environmentsExperience with industrial conveyors, bulk material handling systems, or wastewater conveyance equipmentWorking knowledge of fabrication processes and shop coordinationExperience with load calculations, motor and drive sizing, and material handling designProficiency with AutoCAD and 3D design tools such as Inventor or SolidWorksStrong written and verbal communication skillsPreferred Experience:Project engineering or project management experience with bulk material handling or wastewater facilitiesBackground in oil and gas, chemical plants, or other heavy industrial equipment environmentsExperience managing multiple projects ranging from small capital projects to multi-million-dollar systemsComfort working directly with end users, fabrication shops, and installation teams
